Grant Description
Grants to Maryland individuals for outdoor beautification projects that take place within eligible communities. Funding is intended for activities that help to develop and enhance publicly accessible green spaces, with the goal of improving and beautifying local neighborhoods. Awarded grants will be for sustainable projects with clear maintenance plans. Projects must be located in Bolton Hill, Baltimore, defined as the area between the Mt. Royal Avenue median to the west-side blocks of Eutaw Place, and from Dolphin Street to North Avenue.

Grants are available for the planting and maintenance of neighborhood parks, public green spaces, and tree wells. Priority projects focus on the planting of perennials and native flowers, plants, shrubbery, trees, and related gardening materials. The Garden Club will consider, in the case of tree wells, for example, hardscape or labor costs to enlarge, prepare, or contain greening spaces.
