Grants to Texas non-profit community health centers to advance peer support in community health centers delivering integrated health care (primary care and behavioral health). A teleconference will be held on November 4, and a webinar will be held on November 10. The goal of this initiative is to further establish recovery and peer support as core principles in the delivery of care.
The duration of this program is four years. The first year of the grant program is anticipated to include substantial time for planning; each grant for the planning phase is expected to fund at approximately $30,000.
Grant periods two and three are project implementation phases and expected to fund at approximately $100,000 annually per grant. For grant period four, each grant is expected to fund at approximately $70,000, anticipating that the grant-funded positions will be successful at generating revenue through billing to supplement the final year of grant funding.
