Grants of up to $10,000 to York County, Pennsylvania non-profit organizations that are working to promote quality education, a thriving downtown, and effective non-profits and municipalities in the area. These grants are intended to support effective and innovative programs or services that contribute to making York County a better place to live, work, and play by addressing one of the following strategic focus areas:
1. Education - Goal: Students are successful in school because they receive a premier education. The Community Foundation seeks to significantly improve the delivery of education to school-age and preschool children.
2. Downtown Revitalization - Goal: York County's towns and boroughs are economically and culturally vibrant places to live, work, and play. The Community Foundation seeks to strengthen York County's cities, towns, and boroughs by supporting projects that attract and retain residents, businesses, and visitors.
3. Non-profit and Municipal Strategic Alliances - Goal: York County non-profits and municipalities maximize their impact through powerful collaborations and alliances. The Community Foundation seeks to support organizations that are moving beyond collaboration and are actually consolidating services, combining locations, or merging to improve service-delivery, increase efficiency, and be more sustainable.
