Grants of up to $10,000 to Alberta and British Columbia nonprofit organizations in the Calgary and Edmonton areas to promote the safety and wellness of youth, families, and to assist those seeking shelter from homelessness or domestic abuse. Larger grants may be requested by organizations specifically serving the Cities of Calgary and Edmonton.

The Devon Safe & Healthy Communities grant program is for:

1) Shelters and organizations that care for individuals that suffer from domestic abuse or homelessness; and

2) Organizations/programs that provide health, wellness and educational programming for youth during the critical hours of before and after school.

3) Community and non-profit organizations to help promote a safe and healthy lifestyle for individuals, youth and families.

Number of Grants:

10 - 15

Estimated Size of Grant:

Up to $5,000 per organization.
Up to $10,000 for Calgary and Edmonton-based organizations.

Term of Contract:

Multi-year applications will not be accepted.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All nonprofit organizations in Alberta and in Devon’s commuter communities in British Columbia whose programming or organization focuses on promoting a safe and healthy lifestyle for individuals, youth and families are eligible to apply.

Organizations must be within Devon's operating areas or commuter communities across Alberta and BC.

Pre-Application Information:

The online application will be available here from September 21 - October 23: http://devongrants.ca/

Organizations will be notified if their application was successful or not by the end of November. The successful applicants will receive the monetary award in December.
