Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $3,000 to Oregon nonprofit arts, humanities, and heritage organizations in eligible locations for programs to benefit local residents. Priority will be given to proposals including innovative projects that are accessible to a broad audience. Eligible applicants are located in Deschutes County.

Funding must support projects and activities that address one of the four priorities outlined within the Deschutes Cultural Plan:

  • Encourage greater awareness of local culture.
  • Ensure that a variety of cultural resources and programming are accessible to all residents
  • Provide cultural education in Deschutes County
  • Help new and established cultural organizations increase their capacity to fulfill their mission.

Eligible Projects: 

  • Performances and Exhibits
  • Expansion or innovation of program services
  • Program needs in response to the COVID pandemic¬†¬†
  • Teaching and Mentoring Services
  • Technology support

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Deschutes Cultural Coalition awards grants to arts and cultural organizations in Deschutes County.

Applicants must be:
- Deschutes County - based humanities, heritage or arts organizations
- Designated 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations
- Established for at least one year
- Prior grant awardees must have submitted all project reports

Non-Eligible Projects:
- Individuals
- Endowment building
- Debt reduction
- Bricks and Mortar campaigns
- Private/Public Schools
