Grants to Jefferson County, Oregon nonprofit organizations for a broad range of cultural projects. The purpose of this program is to strengthen and preserve cultural expression, promote public access to cultural events, and enhance interest in culture. As much as possible, grants will be awarded equally between heritage, humanities, and arts projects.

Projects must fit JCCC’s priority areas:
-Stories/Oral Traditions
-Economic Development
-Lifelong Learning
-Public Art
-Build capacity of individuals or organizations to promote culture
-Cultural Tourism

Only projects that directly relate to and benefit Jefferson County will be considered.

As much as possible, projects will be awarded throughout the County geographically.

The project end date is August 31, 2018.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants will be awarded only to established IRC 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

Eligible grant recipients must reside in Jefferson County.

Individuals and groups may submit an application through a qualified nonprofit organization registered in and serving Jefferson County.

Relatives of members of the Board of Directors or its grant selection committee shall disclose this information in the proposal and shall meet all other grant qualifications. Proposals from any relatives of members of the board of directors or its grant selection committee will be reviewed with all proposals, however, the proposals submitted by relatives of members of the board of directors or its grant selection committee may not exceed 50% of the total number of proposals funded in that grant cycle.

Pre-Application Information:

A minimum of 25% cash or in-kind match of total project is required.

Only electronic applications are now accepted by the deadline of October 21, 2017.

Checks will be awarded for selected projects in late November 2017.
