Grants to Oregon nonprofit organizations for programs or activities to benefit the Hillsboro community. Funding is intended for social services programs that address community issues, including, but not limited to: aging, alcohol and drug recovery, child care, early childhood education, housing, family support, mental and physical health, public safety, vocational rehabilitation. Grant requests can be made for all project and activity types that provide social services to residents of Hillsboro.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Organization must be a nonprofit 501c3 social service agency serving Hillsboro community members.

- An agency will only be considered for a grant if all previously awarded grants complied with grant procedures, including submitting a six (6) month progress report (if required).

Timeline:
- Monday, August 26, 2019: Applications available online
- Friday, September 27, 2019: Applications due by 11:59 pm
- Monday, September 30 – Friday, November 8, 2019: Application review period
- Tuesday, November 12, 2019: Finance Committee award recommendations
- Tuesday, November 19, 2019: City Council considers Finance Committee award recommendations
- Wednesday, November 20, 2019: Grant award notification letters mailed to applicants
- Tuesday, December 3, 2019: Mayor & Council reception with grant recipients (6-7pm); checks presented to grant recipients at the City Council meeting (7pm)
- Wednesday, December 4, 2019: Checks mailed to grant recipients not present at the City Council meeting
- Friday, July 31, 2020: Six (6) month progress reports due to the City of Hillsboro. Only those organizations that receive grants totaling $3,000 or more are required to submit a six month progress report.

Incomplete applications or those organizations not meeting the definition of providing social services will not be considered and the applicant will be notified via email.

Only one grant application per year will be considered for any one organization.
