In 2019, MarinHealth conducted a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to assess the significant health needs in Marin County. The MarinHealth CHNA guides the hospital’s community health improvement programs and community benefit activities, as well as its collaborative efforts with organizations that share a mission to improve health.

MarinHealth prioritizes grant requests for programs that:

  • Address the Foundation's prioritized health needs.
  • Improve access to health care and supportive services.
  • Serve underserved, vulnerable populations.
  • Reduce health disparities or improve the quality of life for people living in Marin County.
  • Measure outcomes through evaluation methods and have a track record of consistent outcomes.
