Grants to Kansas school district libraries to receive partial reimbursement for the number of interlibrary loans of 25 or more books provided to libraries outside their district during the previous calendar year. The total grant amount that an eligible school library will receive is based on a rate of $4.25 for each interlibrary loan of 25 or more provided to libraries outside the district or institution.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
An eligible school district library must have provided 25 or more interlibrary loans to libraries outside your district during calendar year January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. Only interlibrary loans made to libraries outside your school district may be counted. Loans of library materials made to individual libraries within your district may not be counted toward the 25 or more interlibrary loans required for eligibility.
Interlibrary loans provided from individual library sites within a district may not be combined to meet the 25 or more interlibrary loans required for eligibility.
More than one grant may be received by a district if the individual library site within the district meets the 25 or more interlibrary loans eligibility requirement.

An application form must be submitted by Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Required documentation for application includes a copy of your school library’s 2017 Kansas Interlibrary Loan Activity Report. The contact person at the Kansas State Library to assist you in obtaining a copy of the Kansas Interlibrary Loan Activity Report if you do not have one is Rhonda Machlan (see Contact Information below for details).
Checks will be distributed by March 1, 2018.
