Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $2,000 to $20,000 to Minnesota organizations, institutions, and faith-based groups working to protect, manage, and improve local water resources within Ramsey County. Funding may be used to reimburse staff time and supplies used for an initiative, program, or event.

Examples of eligible clean water projects include education programs and materials, organizing projects, community workshops, events, rain gardens, green roofs and pervious pavement. Priority is given to applicants who propose ways to measure program impacts to residents, such as actions taken, knowledge increase, or changes in water quality protection behaviors.

Projects must be focused on water resources in the Capitol Region Watershed District, including portions of the cities of Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Maplewood, Roseville, and Saint Paul. See Grant Coverage Areas for exact watershed boundaries.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any organization, institution or faith group within CRWD boundaries with programs that promote and support clean water actions among citizens.

CRWD covers 40 square miles and includes portions of the cities of Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Maplewood, Roseville and Saint Paul. For a map of CRWD, see Grant Coverage Areas.

Applicants must have liability insurance or have identified a fiscal host who does to be eligible.

Pre-Application Information:

All proposals are due by 4:00 PM on October 27, 2017.

Funded projects are reimbursed upon project completion and final reporting.
