Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program
Grants to New York nonprofit organizations, government agencies, secondary school districts, and IHEs for stream stewardship projects throughout the Ashokan watershed. Eligible categories include planning, education, flood hazard mitigation, stream restoration, and stream-related infrastructure improvements.
Guided by stream stewardship principles, the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program (AWSMP) supports projects that implement recommendations included in Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Plans and the AWSMP Action Plan.

Eligible applicants include local, county, state, or federal government agencies, 501(c)(3) organizations, secondary school districts, colleges or universities.
Projects can only be funded in towns that have adopted Ashokan Watershed stream management plans.
The Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program accepts applications during two funding rounds each year in the spring and fall.
The next funding round will open on March 1, 2018 with a deadline for applications of March 23, 2018.
