St. Croix Valley Foundation (SCVF)
Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Minnesota and Wisconsin public and private schools in eligible Counties for programs and projects that aim to enhance the quality of music education programs in area schools. For the purposes of these grants, eligible Counties include Washington and Chisago Counties in Minnesota, and Burnett, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix Counties in Wisconsin.
Eligible and Ineligible Expenses:
- Grants can fund materials such as sheet music, instruments, and other items; guest artists and instructors; community outreach; concerts; composition; inter- or intra-school collaborations; and other expenses that contribute to music education.
- Funds may supplement, but not replace, schools’ music education budgets.
- Funds may not be used for scholarships for individuals, uniforms, staff salaries, or expenses already incurred by the applicant.
Note: Preference is given to hands-on vocal or musical activities over technological innovations.

Public and private schools’ located in Washington and Chisago Counties in Minnesota and Burnett, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix Counties in Wisconsin are eligible. Nonprofit arts organizations cannot apply for a music education grant but can work with a school to apply. Applicants must have no outstanding final reports due to the SCVF.
