Grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 to California nonprofit organizations for specific programs and projects that will benefit Palo Alto or East Palo Alto communities. A one-page Letter of Interest must be submitted prior to applying. Special consideration will be given to projects for which the funding source can be the primary funder.
The Rotary Club of Palo Alto encourages opportunities for active participation by Rotary Club members. These opportunities include one-time activities such as a work or clean-up day, or more ongoing work, such as tutoring, mentoring, or providing consulting help.

Grants range from $2,000 to $10,000.
On occasion, the club may approve a multi-year program that provides financial and other support to an organization for two or more years.
- The project must benefit the Palo Alto and/or East Palo Alto communities.
- An applicant must be a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- No grants will be made that benefit only one or a few individuals.
- Organizations that have received gifts from Rotary for two years in a row must wait a year before applying again.
To be considered for a grant, applicants should submit a one-page letter of interest no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018. This letter should provide a brief description of the project and the funding amount requested.
After reviewing the letters of interest, on or about December 7, 2018, approximately 10-15 organizations will be invited to submit more detailed proposals, which will be due on January 11, 2019.
Final grant decisions will be announced in March 2019.
