Grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 to San Diego County, California schools, groups, youth organizations, and individuals for garden projects that focus on teaching agriculture to area youth. Through these hands-on outdoor learning projects, students can learn about math, art, science, social studies, and literature. School gardens offer children a fabulous hands-on opportunity to bring learning alive.

Grants submitted must focus on San Diego County’s agriculture as defined by:
“The science, art, and business of producing nursery and food crops, cultivating soil, and raising livestock, eggs, milk or other commodities for sale or personal consumption.”

Grants range from $1,000 to $2,000.

Grants can be awarded to individuals, groups or schools.

Items not funded by this grant: computers, cameras, salaries, stipends and field trips

All applications must be submitted or postmarked by Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Grant awards will be announced by February 1, 2018.
