Grants ranging from $1,000 to $12,000 and grants ranging from $14,000 to $20,000 to Routt County, Colorado nonprofits and agencies to serve youth at risk, those with special needs, and needy youth. High Impact Grant applicants must contact program staff one month prior to the deadline.

Emphasis will be placed on supporting early intervention programs or projects for children of all ages, including adolescents. Funding is intended for programs and projects that meaningfully meet the needs of youth who have experienced trauma, extreme hardship or are in crisis.

YAP also provides general operating support to help sustain organizations providing dynamic services to our target youth population throughout Routt County. Regarding youth programming and scholarships in the areas of sports and the arts, funding will be considered only if the youth programming is proactively designed to be therapeutic in nature.

The highest ongoing funding priorities are for organizations working towards changing local systems to improve equitable access for youth to health and wellness services, education and non-traditional learning opportunities. Emphasis will be on the strategic priorities as well as the overall interest areas.

Grant Funding Categories
Most grants fall in the category of the Standard Grant, $1,000 to $12,000. If you are applying for general operating funds you must apply within the Standard Grant category. The High Impact Grant of $14,000 to $20,000 is reserved for exceptional programs/projects that have an objectively meaningful, positive impact on youth who have multiple risk factors, youth who have special needs, and/or youth who experience socio-economic marginalization in Routt County. Agencies that have no history of previous successful grant funding through YAP are encouraged to not apply for High Impact grants.
