Yazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB)
Grants of up to $10,000 to Mississippi organizations and groups in eligible areas for projects and events that promote the local tourism industry. Funding is intended to support the advertising of events and sites, the repair and improvement of tourist sites, and the placement of cultural or historical markers. Eligible programs should increase visitor traffic in Yazoo County.
The Yazoo County CVB offers two types of grants. The first and probably most popular type is for Advertising and Promotion of an event, site, or attraction. The second is for Historical/Cultural Enhancement, which includes the repair or improvement of tourism-related sites, and for placement of historical or cultural markers.

In addition to the grant money, which can be reimbursed to your organization, approved events, sites, attractions, and projects are included in the CVB’s advertising campaign. Yazoo County advertises local offerings to the world through many venues, possibly including radio, television, magazines, tour operators, web ads, e-mail newsletters, social media, etc. The County is also happy to assist applicants with recommendations on ad placements, cooperative advertising recommendations, free and low-cost publicity outlets, press releases, festival production guides, lists of area performers, and more.
