Grants of up to $250 to Missouri K-12 teachers, or of up to $500 to groups of teachers, for classroom programs that promote agricultural literacy. Funds may be used for activities, purchasing accurate agriculture resources, and consumables needed to enhance learning or field trips when linked to documented learning activities.

Multiple teachers at the same grade level may apply for $500 funding to involve all students in one grade. Applications for grade level funding must involve a minimum of 70 students and at least 3 classroom teachers.

The program objectives should enhance student knowledge of the contribution made by agriculture. Innovative and inter-disciplinary programs will be encouraged. Field trips and assemblies must be linked to classroom learning objectives and must outline special pre- and post-event activities.


Up to $250 for individual teachers. Up to $500 for groups of teachers (3 or more).

The 2015-2016 school year.
