Request a Grant Writer

One award to recognize a Virginia Pre-K through 12th grade teacher who has successfully integrated agriculture education into his/her daily curriculum. Teachers must use agricultural information and/or materials in their classroom in order to help students learn the importance of agriculture while also mastering key educational standards.

Special consideration will be given to those teachers using Agriculture in the Classroom materials in their classrooms. Innovative and interdisciplinary programs are encouraged.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The teacher selected will receive a scholarship of full registration, lodging, meals, and a stipend for the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Arizona.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

State licensed Pre-K-12 teachers who are currently integrating agricultural concepts into non-vocational, core subject areas (such as language arts, social studies, science, or mathematics).
