Grants to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania non-profits for innovative, impactful proposals to assist low‐income working families, financially struggling adults and families, and returning veterans, active military and their families. January 16 is the deadline for Step 1 of the application.

Agency applicants should demonstrate:
- Strategic collaborations designed to have significant community impact;
- Successful results in serving one or more of the target populations;
- Meaningful opportunities to engage corporate and community volunteers.

The funder recommends that agencies consider requesting award amounts between $100,000 and $150,000 when developing proposals.

Funding awards will be effective for the three‐year period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2018.

Applications must be submitted by agencies that are:

- 501(c)(3) organizations located and providing a health or human service in Allegheny County.  Arts, cultural, religious, recreational, political programs, government agencies, and institutions providing formal education are not eligible for funding but may participate as unfunded partners.

- In full compliance with all federal, state, county, and local requirements and laws pertaining to non‐profits, including the USA Patriot Act and other counterterrorism laws.   

- In full compliance with the requirements of the Pennsylvania Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act, Act 1990‐202 (H.B. 365), § 1, approved Dec. 19, 1990.

- Able to provide all documentation requested as noted in Step 1 and Step 2 of the RFP process.

Review the attached RFP background document and FAQ. The questions in the background document need to be answered as part of the on-line application.

Applications must be submitted through e-Cimpact, which allows applicants to copy and paste WORD documents into the online application.

Agencies will be able to develop and save their draft documents online, and then verify and submit when complete by 5:00 PM on January 16th, 2015.
