Madison Civics Club (MCC)
Grants of up to $1,000 to Dane County, Wisconsin school- or community-based nonprofit organizations for worthy charitable activities. Previously funded activities include: an aeronautics research project, a travel club, and several programs that focus on empowering girls.
The criteria for the grant are:
- Worthy student-led project that has evidence of student involvement: identifying needs, generating ideas, writing action plans, participation and evaluation.
- Community service without political bias
- Relevance of group’s mission to and/or interest in a speaker’s topic

Awards of up to $1,000 will be given.
To be considered for funding by the Madison Civics Club, an organization must qualify as a nonprofit and include a copy of the organization's 501(c)(3) or equivalent determination letter from the IRS. Organizations affiliated with public schools meet this criteria.
Applications are accepted at any time but no later than three weeks prior to an event:
Saturday, September 2, 2017, for the September 23 meeting with Elizabeth Cline
Saturday, October 14, 2017, for the November 4 meeting with Patricia McConnell
Saturday, February 10, 2018 for the March 3 meeting with Kathy Cramer
Saturday, March 17, 2018, for the April 7 meeting with John Nichols
