Grants of up to $10,000 to Lubbock Area, Texas nonprofit organizations for community-based programs and activities in the area of health care services. Consideration will also be given to community activities with an educational component. Funding is intended to encourage the development of programs for health care services, in-service training, educational programs, and educational grants for institutions and agencies in the immediate vicinity of Lubbock, Texas.

Term of Contract:

Projects are funded for one year. If the project is funded, the period of the grant is dated from the month of the award.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are restricted to appropriately recognized institutions and agencies in the State of Texas who are non-profit and meet the conditions of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

- The Foundation does not support "operating costs" or overhead costs.
- Salaries and benefits for employees are not funded.

Pre-Application Information:

Deadlines for submission of grant proposals:
- Community Grants: October 4, 2019
- Community Grants: January 10, 2020

Proposals for community grants are considered at the November and February board meetings.

Awards are to be paid in one installment after an agreement letter is signed and returned from the grantee.

It is expected that all funds granted for a project will be used exclusively for that project.
