Grants of up to $750 to British Columbia, Canada schools that are seeking funds for innovative, high-quality programs that promote healthy lifestyles for their students. There are two different programs available through this funding opportunity:

(1) Grants of $500 to support activities that engage students in a healthy living activity or program that will positively impact their health and learning. The grant can be used to support the materials, equipment, or supplies to facilitate the implementation of this activity or program. Examples of eligible activities include: student led anti-bullying campaigns, school garden projects, student-facilitated food skills and cooking classes, etc.

(2) Grants of $750 to support healthy living inquiry-based projects with students. This grant supports working through an inquiry process with students, to engage them in addressing healthy living topics within their school community.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Members of the school community can apply for a grant (e.g. educators, administrators, support staff, community health professionals). However, the grant application must be submitted by, or include the contact details for, a member of the school (e.g. educator, administrator, support staff) who will serve as the primary contact person for the application process.
