Grants ranging from $15,000 to $30,000 to Westchester County, New York non-profits, government agencies and school districts for programs that promote job training and development, promotion of financial literacy for small businesses, English language literacy, and affordable housing maintenance and ownership. The aim of the grant program is to support efforts to build strong and resilient communities.

Strongly eligible programs will solve problems rather than alleviate symptoms, strengthen communities through engagement of stakeholders, and bring together disparate groups through collaboration.

The Foundation does not make grants to:
-Endowment campaigns
-Capital campaigns
-Equipment purchases that are not intrinsic to the proposed project
-Routine operating expenses
-Deficit financing
-Medical research
-Religious activities

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Foundation makes grants to:
-Tax-exempt 501(c)(3)organizations operating or proposing to operate programs for the benefit of Westchester residents and communities.
-Agencies with a pending 501(c)(3) application if an approved organization serves as a fiscal agent.
-Government agencies, including school districts.

Pre-Application Information:

Proposals are invited based on a review of a Letter of Intent or a conversation with the program officer (typically in the case of a renewal proposal). Applicants should contact the program officer at least one month in advance of the proposal deadline to determine whether a Letter of Intent will be required.
