Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $10,000 to California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Texas, and Washington organizations for projects and programs to benefit residents of eligible communities. Applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry prior to applying. Funding is intended to support building improvements, project equipment needs, small capital projects, and operation requests for new program start-ups (up to two years old). Eligible organizations must be located within 50 miles of the following communities: San Francisco, Montrose, Boise, Bend, Eugene, Portland, Sunriver, Coppell, Frisco, and Seattle.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The minimum grant amount is $5,000. Average grants are between $5,000 and $10,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible organizations must be located within a 50-mile radius of cities where the Foundation's trustees reside:
- California: San Francisco
- Colorado: Montrose
- Idaho: Boise
- Oregon: Bend, Eugene, Portland, Sunriver
- Texas: Coppell, Frisco
- Washington: Seattle

Pre-Application Information:

The Foundation has one funding cycle per year. Below are relevant dates for the Foundation's upcoming cycle:
- January 1 – 15, 2022– Letter of Inquiry accepted through the online Grants Management System.
- February 18, 2022 –Organizations notified of LOI status. Online Grant Application available to selected organizations based on LOI.
- March 4, 2022 – Application Deadline.
- March & April 2022 – Grant Committee convenes to consider requests. Site visits may be made to organizations that have not previously applied for a grant.
- Late May 2022 – Applicants notified of board decision.*

Organizations interested in seeking funding from the Papé Family Foundation should first submit a Letter of Inquiry through the online Grants Management System. The Foundation only accepts LOIs submitted through the website. Select organizations will then be invited to complete the application process. Grant Applications are accepted by invitation only.
