Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 to California nonprofit organizations to provide in-school educational programs for 4th through 8th-grade students in North Coastal San Diego County. Eligible projects are those that provide creative, hands-on experiences. Emphasis will be given to programs focusing on STEAM education. The programs should be held at elementary and middle schools, or should be field trips held during school hours.

EdVentures is a grant program of the Coastal Community Foundation that supports hands-on, creative educational experiences for students in North Coastal San Diego County schools with an emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Music and Math) curriculum.

The grant range is $3,000 to $10,000.

Term of Contract:

Funding must be used for projects during the 2018-19 academic year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofits that provide educational programming to 4th–8th grade students in public schools in Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside are encouraged to apply.

Projects must serve 4th-8th grade students in North Coastal San Diego County Public or Charter Schools in Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff, Encinitas, Carlsbad, and Oceanside. Projects must align with school district curricular goals and standards.

Grant funding will not fund bus transportation for field trips or general operations. Funding is also not available for after-school programs.

Pre-Application Information:

The application deadline is September 12, 2018. Applications received past the deadline will not be considered.

If you are awarded a grant, the check will be made payable to your nonprofit and designated for the specific classroom project at selected schools or districts.
