Grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations for activities that promote the advancement of local women and girls. Applicants are requested to contact the Funding Source prior to submitting an application. Priority focus areas include safety from violence, health and wellness, and economic empowerment. Eligible uses of funds include capital, capacity-building, operating, and program expenses. Funding must benefit women and girls in Summit County.

Akron Community Foundation requests all first-time grant applicants to please contact Community Investment Officer, Cristina González Alcalá, Ph.D. before submitting your grant application.

Applications accepted Oct. 1 - Nov. 1. Applications open 30 days prior to the deadline.

Grant distributions are generally made 6-8 weeks after the proposal due date.
