Foundation / Corporation
Greater Milwaukee Foundation (GMF) - Greater Cedarburg Foundation
Grants to Wisconsin nonprofit organizations and agencies for capital projects and programs that improve the quality of life for residents of Cedarburg. First time applicants must register their organizations and then complete an organizational profile. Funding is intended to enhance and support local arts and education programs, cultural and historic preservation, and for a wide range of community and social services.
The Foundation supports both programs and capital projects that enhance those attributes that make Cedarburg unique. The Foundation considers a broad range of projects, but places priority on projects which:
-Preserve and enrich Cedarburg’s cultural and historic heritage
-Enhance Cedarburg’s artistic and aesthetic experiences
-Provide educational, recreational, and community service opportunities for all ages.
GrantWatch ID#: 151210
Grants for a project will generally be limited to one year. If the project is expected to be ongoing, it is assumed that the agency will develop additional funding sources. In exceptional cases, projects may be supported for more than one year, but generally for not more than two or three years.
Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations, designated as tax-exempt by the Internal Revenue Service, or occasionally to select government agencies. Grants will not be made to individuals.
The Foundation does not provide funds for lobbying or political purposes and generally does not award grants for annual campaigns, operating budgets, or debt service.
A presentation on the application process will be held on October 18th, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cedarburg Library Community Room.
First time applicants must register their organizations and then complete an organizational profile. Once the registration is complete, the organization will be prompted to complete the organization profile.
