Grants to Wisconsin nonprofit organizations for charitable activities to meet the needs of local residents and to enhance the local quality of life in eligible locations. Funding is intended for the following areas of focus: health services, education, civic projects, social services, and cultural activities. The Foundation funds projects that could enhance the quality of life in the Black River Falls area.

Grants to be considered are those that meet charitable needs of:

  • A new or innovative nature to fulfill unmet needs
  • One-time projects
  • Capital improvements
  • Equipment needs
  • Start-up expenses
  • Special programs
  • Emergency funding

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any non-profit organization in Jackson County may apply for a grant.

Requests to support endowments, operating expenses, debt repayment, religious purposes, individuals, and lobbying expenses are usually discouraged.

Pre-Application Information:

The grant application period is from March 1 through April 15. Applications postmarked after April 15th, or received electronically after 5PM on April 15th will not be accepted.

The announcement of award recipients and the distribution of funds are done in June.

Application forms can be found below and can also be picked up in person from the reception desk of Jackson County Bank or Co-op Credit Union.

A copy of the organization’s tax-exempt status is required.
