Grants of $55,000 to Florida nonprofit organizations in eligible counties to enhance the quality of life for local residents. Applicants requesting larger grants are required to submit a Letter of Intent prior to the full proposal. Funding is intended to support programs and projects in the areas of education, community revitalization, and youth development that benefit residents in need in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Funding will be provided in two categories:

  • Mini-grants: For newer organizations or those who have an annual budget of $250,000 or less
  • Community Impact

Priority areas:

  • Community Revitalization: Support to those who are enhancing communities by making them safe, vibrant, clean, and green. This includes programs or projects that are improving communities physically, socially, or economically. 
  • Post-Secondary and Career Pathways: Supplemental support outside the normal school day, additional support for first-generation students entering college, vocational programs, and adult workforce development programs leading to education beyond a high school diploma.
  • Positive Youth Development: Support for an intentional, pro-social approach that engages youth with their communities. The Foundation wants to recognize and build upon a youth's strengths, foster positive relationships, and build their leadership potential.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Foundation will consider requests from charitable organizations that are tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3) organization and public charities under IRS Section 509 (a). Organizations operating under a fiscal sponsor with tax exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)(3) may also be considered.

The Foundation will only consider requests from organizations located within Palm Beach and Martin Counties or that directly benefit residents of Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

The Foundation will not consider competitive grant requests for any of the following:
- Annual appeal
- Capital campaigns or capital projects
- Deficit financing
- For-profit, parochial, charter, private, or individual public schools
- Fundraising event
- Open space purchase
- Nonprofit endowments
- Requests for a specific individual
- Requests to support religious or political causes, or to organizations organized for religious or political purposes

In order to better support nonprofits with summer programs, the Foundation is requesting that nonprofits with summer programs fill out all the necessary information from the LOI and the Full Proposal at once, and the Foundation will be reviewing their proposals on an expedited timeline:
