Grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 to USA non-profit organizations for youth-based initiatives serving their communities where youth, ages 6 - 25 take leadership roles in the initiative. The initiatives chose will address one or more of the following issues: food security, nutrition, agriculture, food politics, and education.

FirstFruits of Washington will accept initiative applications from non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations or affiliated with school entities, in good standing, for funding requests related to community initiatives or program support who meet grant criteria.
Organization must have an operating budget of less than $2 million.

Applications must be received by February 28, 2015 to be considered for selection and voting.
Finalists will be chose for public voting between April 15, 2015 at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and May 15, 2015 at 11:59 AM EST (the “Voting Phase”). Voters are encouraged to vote one (1) time during this Voting Phase, pursuant to the restrictions and limitations set forth in Section 2 hereunder.
Beginning on May 18, 2015 at 12:00 PM EST, the Sponsor judges will make a final determination of which of the Finalist Charities shall receive grants, and for what amounts.
The Finalist Charities shall receive their corresponding grant distributions on or about July 31, 2015.
Participants can vote by going to the Opal Brand website at http://www.opalapples.com/cause, or clicking the link to the website from the http://www.facebook.com/opalbrand using any web-enabled mobile device, and voting for one (1) of the fifteen (15) Semi-Finalist Charities during the Voting Phase. Participants may vote for one (1) Semi-Finalist Charity one (1) time, not using more than one (1) browser.
