Grants to North Carolina nonprofit organizations and public agencies to enhance the quality of life for local residents in eligible regions. Funding is intended for innovative proposals that meet the needs of local residents and that will advance the organization's mission. Projects and activities may benefit a single organization, group of collaborating organizations, or a system of services that address community issues. Eligible programs benefit Gaston County citizens.
The Grants Committee and Board give strongest positive consideration to requests that demonstrate “grass roots” community support with a plan for utilizing resources and talents of both the sponsoring organization’s members and the population that would be helped by the requested grant.
