Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $400 to Decatur County, Indiana teachers for innovative and creative classroom projects that would not normally be funded by other means, such as the school's budget or other grants. Funding will be provided for projects that enhance or supplement the teacher’s curriculum. Grant requests will be awarded on merit and availability of funds.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are available to classroom teachers at any school in Decatur County.

Under most circumstances, the Thank-a-Teacher Grant will not fund:

- Equipment and technology, unless it is very specific to the project
- Club activities, unless the activity is a creative extension of the classroom curriculum available to all students
- Classroom supplies that are available from the school corporation
- Field trips

Pre-Application Information:

Grant applications are due in the Foundation office by 4:00 pm on February 1 and October 1.
