Grant Description
Grants to USA or Utah early-stage filmmakers for short films produced for international audiences. Writers and directors may apply by submitting scripts for short narrative or documentary films. Grantees will also be provided mentorship from established filmmakers, as well as an expenses-paid trip to attend a short film festival to view the film screenings.

The Davey Foundation supports emerging filmmakers through grant funding, equipment lending, screening opportunities, and mentorship with established filmmakers.

The Davey Foundation’s grant-winning shorts have screened at prominent festivals around the world. Davey Grant-supported films have also been nominated for and won awards.

The Short Film grant includes two grant categories: National (United States) and Utah. Only scripts are accepted and judged.
