Fellowships to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations to participate in a partnership to strengthen their organization and to improve the quality of life in the region. An informational session will be held on February 21, 2017. Applicants must contact the Foundation before applying, and those that submit a draft before March 24, 2017 will receive feedback on their application.
This program offers an entry point for small community benefit organizations, or organizations in transition, that have not previously partnered with or received one or fewer grant(s) from the Community Foundation within the past five years.
This program consists of the following three components:
1. Cohort Learning Agenda: Participants will take place in several cohort learning meetings, with topics on improving organizational capacity such as impact measurement, leadership and organizational culture, communications and marketing, revenue generation, and governance and operations.
2. PANO’s Sustainability Assessment for Community Benefit Organizations: The assessment will help each community benefit organization (CBO) to focus their efforts on enhancing organizational strength and stabilizing their footing.
3. Capacity Building Grant Award: Participants will be asked to submit a capacity building grant application of $10,000, pending the successful completion of the cohort learning agenda. The application is due on December 4, 2017.

Part 1 program period is May 18, 2017 to October 3, 2018, and the funding period is December 12, 2017 to June 12, 2018 (pending successful Part 1 program completion and capacity building grant application).
