Grants to Madison Area, Wisconsin nonprofit theater companies for professional productions at a local performing arts center. Funds are intended to support production costs associated with live theater. Priority will be given to established companies with a paid staff and cast.

Professional theater companies seeking to perform at the Overture Center may submit applications.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants must be a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status professional theatre.

Applicant organizations must also meet three of the following four requirements to apply:
-Have an equity contract.
-Have offered a minimum of three self-produced productions per year for two consecutive years.
-Pay a contracted fee and/or salary to two or more actors for each production.
-Pay a contracted fee and/or salary to at least one member of its support staff.

Pre-Application Information:

Electronic applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on March 15, 2019. Supplemental information will be requested by April 1. Awards will be announced by April 20.
