Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for programs in the areas of economic empowerment, crisis relief, professional performing arts and museums, and employee match programs in communities where the funding source's facilities are located.
The Foundation focuses on issuing grants in several key areas listed below. In order for a nonprofit organization to qualify for a grant, its primary mission must mirror that of the Foundation and meet other criteria.
Economic Empowerment:
The Deluxe Corporation believes that the best way to build strong economies is through championing entrepreneurship and educating citizens on the importance of small business in the Foundation's communities.
Focus areas are:
- Job skills and placement
- Business education
- Financial literacy
- Tutoring programs
Employee Match Programs: The Foundation supports its employees’ commitment to the causes and organizations they care about. The Deluxe Corporate Foundation encourages employees to volunteer their time, as well as their hard-earned dollars, and the Foundation believes in matching those efforts.
Focus areas are:
- Matching Gift Plan
- Time Is Money
Crisis and United Way: The Foundation is proud to support organizations and communities across the country that help Americans get back on their feet during times of crisis, from the American Red Cross to local food shelves. Examples include the Foundation's partnership with the Red Cross for emergency response and counseling services for people in crisis.

- Red Cross partnership
- Food shelves
- Counseling
- Domestic abuse
Arts: The arts help enrich and diversify lives, and the Deluxe Corporation Foundation is proud to support professional performing arts groups (dance, theater, music) and museums across the country that broaden Americans’ access to the arts.

Nonprofit organizations that meet the grant focus areas listed above are encouraged to apply for a grant from the Deluxe Corporation Foundation. The Foundation accepts grant proposals from qualifying nonprofit organizations that serve the general communities in which Deluxe facilities are located.

- Colorado: Colorado Springs
- Florida: Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale
- Georgia: Atlanta, Lithia Springs
- Illinois: Des Plaines, Chicago

- Massachusetts: Groton, Townsend, Boston
- Minnesota: St. Paul/Minneapolis
- Missouri: Kansas City, Maryville
- North Carolina: Greensboro
- New Jersey: Mountain Lakes
- Ohio: Streetsboro, Cleveland
- Pennsylvania: Lansdale, Philadelphia
- Texas: Dallas
- Utah: Salt Lake City
- Wisconsin: Wausau
In addition, nonprofits must:
- Have obtained tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1), (2), or (3)
- Have operated as a nonprofit for at least two years
- Have secured support from other corporate funders
- Be located in the general community of a Deluxe facility
The below list includes examples of what the Deluxe Corporation Foundation does not fund:
- Individuals
- Organizations without 501(c)(3) tax-exemption determination letters
- Sponsorships (e.g., events, conferences, fundraisers)
- Advertising
- Political organizations or projects
- Lobbying efforts
- Fraternal organizations
- Religious programs
- Research
- Travel expenses
- Start-up programs
- Athletic or recreational programs
- Housing
- Civic organizations
- Health, including: hospitals, patient care, specific health issues
- Scholarships
- PreK-12 schools
- Colleges or Universities (request for proposal only)
- Libraries
- Animal rescue programs
- Zoos
March 15 - May 15 deadline for:

Minnesota:
- Professional arts and business education programs: January 1-March 1
- All other qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofits: June 1-October 1
