Grants to Kansas nonprofit organizations, schools, agencies, and churches in eligible communities for programs that address the health needs of local residents and communities. Funding is intended for public health programs that promote and protect the health and well-being of individuals and their communities through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors, and environments. Programs must benefit Ottawa County residents.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Community Foundation will consider grant requests from all 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, government/public entities, educational institutions, and churches.

Other organizations such as for-profit entities, volunteer groups, and individuals will only be considered if the request is for a charitable community grant. We encourage all other organizations to find a non-profit fiscal partner. If that is not possible, you will need to practice expenditure responsibility including submitting receipts.

The Foundation will NOT consider grants to the following:

- Political projects of any kind
- Organizations or projects that practice discrimination by race, color, creed, sex, age, or national origin
- Operating deficits or retirement of debt.
