Grants to British Columbia nonprofits for a range of programs that benefit eligible communities. Funding is intended to support programs and projects in the focus areas of health, housing, economy, safety, environment, work, recreation and leisure, getting started and staying, learning, closing the gap between rich and poor, getting around, arts, culture, and heritage, belonging, and leadership. Eligible projects benefit residents in the Town of Golden and CSRD Electoral Area A.

Within this program, there is also targeted funding for projects that focus on Health and Wellness (from the Crandlemire-Keenleyside Fund) and Search and Rescue (from the Allen Williams Memorial Fund).

Estimated Size of Grant:

Over $23,000 is available in 2020.

- Up to $2,135 from the Crandlemire-Keenleyside Fund
- Up to $1,885 from the Allen Williams Memorial Fund

Term of Contract:

All projects must be completed and final reports received by September 30, 2021.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Funding is available only to registered charities, or to non-profit groups that partner with a registered charity. The official applicant will be the registered charity.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for application is noon local time on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

Grant decisions are expected by November 30, 2020.

For very large projects it is recommended that if the work can be broken down into separate projects, the applicant should make separate applications
