Grants to Lake County, Ohio nonprofit organizations for programs that benefit women and girls in the community. Funding is intended for philanthropic initiatives to empower women in the following areas: advocacy, education, volunteerism, and giving. Previous grants have been made to girls scouts groups, arts associations, and recovery centers.

Term of Contract:

Funded requests must be used within six (6) months from the date of receipt.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Women's Leadership Council is now accepting funding requests from 501(c)(3), nonprofit agencies, and organizations for programs that directly impact the lives of women in Lake County.

Funding requests for the following will not be accepted:
- Salaries
- Fundraisers
- Gift cards
- Gas cards
- Bus passes

This application is not for emergency funding.

Only one grant request can be submitted each granting period. Multiple applications will result in all applications being denied.

Pre-Application Information:

The Women's Leadership Council of United Way of Lake County is accepting grant funding applications now through March 15, 2018.

Agencies not funded will be notified in mid-May. Agencies being funded will be notified by the end of May. Funding will be awarded by the end of June.

Organizations and agencies selected to receive grants will be announced when funds are distributed this summer. Award presentation will be made in person at a date provided with award notification.

15 copies of the grant application must be submitted. Each copy is to be identical in content as the original. Only applications that provide 15 complete copies will receive grant consideration.
