Grants of $1,500 and a grant of $2,000 to Illinois teachers and administrators at public and private K-12 schools in the funding source's service district for innovative programs that enhance learning. Funding is available for eligible school districts in the counties of Bureau, DeWitt, Ford, Henry, Knox, La Salle, Logan, Macon, Marshall, McLean, Piatt, and Putnam, Tazewell, Stark, and Woodford.

Funding criteria for school programs:

  • Promote innovation in the classroom
  • Will enrich students' learning experience
  • Impact a significant number of students at the school
  • Establish potential for long-term benefit to the student body
  • Include measurable indicators of success

Preference will be given to projects and programs that enhance learning
and are not currently being funded through the school’s budget.

Five schools will be awarded Education Grants and one school will be awarded the Jeff Reeves Memorial Education Grant.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Public or private schools that have children of Corn Belt Energy members enrolled may apply for an Education Grant; the institution does not need to receive power from Corn Belt Energy.

Teachers and administrators of public or private K-12 schools may apply.

Pre-Application Information:

Deadline: Grant Application must be submitted by December 31, 2020.

Multiple projects within the same school can be combined to a total of the grant amount earned.
