Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Texas teachers or teams of teachers to support highly engaging instructional programs and projects in the Dallas Metroplex. Priority is given to projects that benefit children with Down Syndrome.
-Engage students and teachers in innovative, creative, challenging, hands-on ways;
-Motivate students and keep alive an eagerness to learn;
-Improve basic learning skills;
-Build positive self-esteem and the belief that success is achievable.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
-Staff salaries or substitute teacher costs;
-Personal honorariums for the applicants;
-Field trips unless it is an integral part of the project;
-Applications not in compliance with standards set forth in the Grant Application section below.

Grant recipients will be notified no later than Monday, June 1, 2015. Please note that grant recipients will be recognized at the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas’ Annual Fall Conference.
