Grants of up to $250 to Allendale area, Michigan teachers, counselors, and administrators employed in local public or private schools to expand and improve classroom programs. Interested applicants are required to contact Foundation staff prior to applying. Funding is intended to support instructional enhancements that include new projects and programs, program enhancement within the curriculum framework, expansion of an already existing unit, student awards, special events, artists in residence, and parent involvement programs.

Grant funds must be used for capital supplies that are related to the project or program.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any teacher, counselor, or administrator employed in a public or private school located in the Allendale area is eligible to apply.

No funding will be provided for field trips. Funds are also not available for general operating expenses, fundraising events, or religious programs that serve, or appear to serve, specific religious faiths.

Pre-Application Information:

The next Teacher Mini-Grant deadline is Friday, September 27, 2019. Funding outcomes will be communicated following the Board Meeting on November 5, 2019.

Grant application process:

- Step 1: Contact the GHACF Team. If you are interested in applying for a competitive grant, please contact Holly Cole, Director of Grants and Program, or call the Allendale Community Foundation office to discuss your proposal and determine if it aligns with the Foundation's grantmaking priorities.
- Step 2: Complete a Grant Application. Upon discussion of your proposal and determination of alignment with the Foundation, the appropriate grant application will be made available to you through the online application portal.
- Step 3: Grant Applications are reviewed and approved.

Grants are limited to one per classroom and one per teacher per school year.
