Grants of up to $25,000 and grants over $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to advance the sport of archery. This program seeks to create a pathway between the first experience with archery and elite involvement in the sport.

ESDF's Mission:

-Develop competitive Olympic archery efforts that create a clear path for skilled young archers to reach the goal of being an Olympic champion.

-Create a partnership to support programs that develop improved archers’ skills in their progression through youth organizations, middle and high school programs, colleges, USAA State, Regional, and National level competitions and on into International Team training opportunities.

-Develop and support archery programs that introduce target archery at the grassroots level by introducing Olympic style archery to sports enthusiasts including youth, senior, and physically challenged.

-Support the growth of all types of archery competition through national organizations.

-Promote the use of archery centers, new archery ranges and refurbished existing ranges open to the public to enhance enjoyment and accessibility for the archery community.

-Support bow hunting education, promotion, habitat development and protection programs through national archery organizations and conservation organizations.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

You must be a public 501(c)3 organization, a nonprofit foundation, education or government entity to apply.

Not Supported:
-Individuals, (scholarships, fellowships, personal assistance)
-Individual sports teams
-Private foundations
-For-profit ventures
-Individual study
-Travel that is not for the purpose of selecting and training men’s and women’s teams to represent the US in Olympic games, Paralympic games, World Championships, World Cup events and other national and international competitions.
-Prizes and Trophies
-Any type of monetary compensation or reimbursement unless pre-approved in writing
-NASP funding and/or NASP equipment directly to schools or organizations. i.e. Genesis equipment
-3D Targets
-Compound equipment
-Aerial Target Shooting
-Equipment outside the scope of program operation (example – motor vehicles, grounds maintenance equipment, bleachers, storage facilities, rental fees, fences, cover patios, etc…)
-Top of the line archery equipment
-Marketing and Promotional items
-Media Productions
-JOAD funding directly to clubs
-Funds to purchase non-archery recurve equipment

The Foundations will not support organizations that discriminate against a person or a group on the basis of age, political affiliation, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief.

Pre-Application Information:

Requests over $25,000: All project proposals and grant requests over $25,000 must be received by the Foundation by March 1st for the Spring review or September 1st for the Fall review to be considered by the Foundation in the semi-annual grant review process.

Requests *under $25,000: All grant applications under $25,000 must be received by February 1st for Summer programs and April 1st for Fall programs.

Summer Programs: All archery equipment grant applications for summer programs must be submitted by February 1st. Approval/Denial notification will be sent within 90 days.

Fall Programs: All archery equipment grant applications for fall programs must be submitted by April 1st. Approval/Denial notification will be sent within 90 days.

*The Grant Committee reserves the right to review any grant that is under $25,000 during the Spring or Fall review.
