Foundation / Corporation
Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA)
Grants of $30,000 and grants of $60,000 to USA hospitals, cancer centers, and nonprofit organizations partnering with hospitals to provide services to cancer patients. Funding is intended support institutions with a large number of gynecological cancer patients. Grants are provided to cover the cost of a part-time Program Coordinator’s salary (can be a new hire, or a reassignment), program costs, and the patient fund.
Woman to Woman (W2W) is a program that pairs gynecologic cancer patients with trained Volunteer Mentors who provide one-on-one emotional support and mentoring. W2W also promotes education and self-advocacy for women in treatment, as well as for their partners, families, and other caregivers. From the moment of diagnosis through the end of treatment, W2W Mentors have helped hundreds of women and their loved ones cope with a diagnosis of gynecologic cancer.
Woman to Woman grants allow hospitals and community-based organizations to begin or continue enhanced support services to women in their communities. Funding and eligibility for sites is as follows:
It is expected that each Woman to Woman program will become self-funding after the first year.
