Grants of $20,000 to USA individuals for playground equipment in local communities to encourage kids to play outside. Funding is intended to provide the places, inspiration, and tools to make play a priority and encourage fit and active lifestyles.

Each applicant must create a short video (in English, Spanish, or both) that tells others who you are and why your community needs a new playground. The video should be creative and playful, and inspire others to share your message.

Videos must be no more than two minutes in length.

Your video should:
- Introduce the kids in your community
- Show why your community needs a new place to play
- Incorporate the voices and ideas of kids, parents, and other caring adults in your community who are making it easier for kids to play
- Show the playspace kids in your community dream of having
- Encourage more kids and families to get out and play!

The $20,000 grants consist of the following:
- $13,000 grant from KaBOOM!
- $7,000 grant from a KaBOOM! Preferred Vendor

Term of Contract:

You will have 1 year to complete your project and must build your playground no later than June 24, 2020. Playground projects not completed by Wednesday, June 24, 2020 will forfeit the grant in its entirety.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry may apply.

Employees, officers and directors of KaBOOM!, Inc. ("Sponsor"), employees, officers and directors of DPS Holdings, Inc., members of the KaBOOM! Preferred Vendor Program, their respective parent entities, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agencies, promotional suppliers, and the immediate family members (spouses, siblings, children, and parents, regardless of where they live) or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers and directors (collectively, "Entities") are not eligible.

Playgrounds must be built on United States soil.

Pre-Application Information:

The KaBOOM! Let's Play Dream Playground Contest (the "Contest") entry period begins at 12:00 PM EDT on Monday, April 1, 2019 and ends at 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, May 10, 2019.

A blue ribbon panel of judges will determine the 5 winners based on video content, quality, creativity and demonstrated need. Winners will be notified on June 24, 2019.

The $20,000 playground equipment credit will be transferred to the playground vendor when the equipment is installed.

In order to qualify, projects will need to purchase a minimum of $24,000 in playground equipment.

The applicant must agree to use the KaBOOM! Community-Build Model to execute this project.
