Foundation / Corporation
New Relationship Trust (NRT)
Grants of up to $2,500 to British Columbia First Nation communities, organizations, and Elders groups. Funding is intended to promote capacity development by providing an incentive for the Elders groups to implement projects. This grant can also be used for Elders Groups wanting to attend the 43rd Annual Elders Gathering or the National Gathering of Elders.
For the purpose of this program, capacity building is defined as enhancing knowledge, abilities, skills and processes in such areas as:
- Team building
- Language and Culture
Priority will be given to Elders Groups. The New Relationship Trust and the First Nation communities realize the importance of Elders. Accordingly, the NRT Board of Directors identified Elders as a strategic priority. Elders provide the key to a healthy and vital future. The ongoing support and participation of this group is essential to strong, healthy Nations.
