Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $2,000 to California nonprofit organizations, schools, and faith-based organizations for holiday programs that assist needy populations in eligible regions. Priority is given to programs that address outlying or underserved areas. The purpose of funding is to provide the support needed in order to make holiday programs successful. Applicants must be located in Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, or Curry counties.

The committee will consider each application and prioritize funding based on:
  • Number of people served
  • Focus on vulnerable youth, seniors, and low income families across rural and native lands
  • Programs providing food security (food boxes, food vouchers, grocery credit, community meals), clothing and/or other basic needs
  • Extra priority is given to programs that reach underserved or outlying areas

Term of Contract:

The Holiday Funding Partnership offers small grants to assist with holiday assistance programs offered between November 15 and January 1.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity or Curry County non-profit organizations, public benefit organizations (public schools, churches, tribal governments, etc.) or qualified fiscal sponsors may apply.

The following requests will not be funded:
- Party decorations
- Venue rental for events
- Craft parties or crafting supplies
- Photographs
