Grants of up to $2,000 to Iowa local, regional, and statewide agencies, or EMS and ambulance programs to develop, promote, and implement injury prevention and education programs aimed at children (ages 0-21). Eligible injury prevention activities may include but are not limited to:
-Education and training materials;
-Equipment, supplies, and materials that may include child passenger safety equipment (child passenger safety equipment must be distributed by a nationally certified child passenger safety technician);
-Public information and education campaigns;

Applicants may apply for up to $2,000 for the total one-year period.
IDPH expects the initial contract period to be a one-year term from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
IDPH shall have the option to renew the contract for up to on additional one (1) year terms subject to review of the continuation application, contractor performance and compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract, availability of funds, program modifications, or any other grounds determined by IDPH to be in IDPH’s best interests.
