Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Greenbelt, Maryland nonprofit organizations to positively impact local residents. Proposals will be considered in the areas of arts, culture, recreation, environment, and social vitality. Particular interest is given to specific projects and new initiatives that benefit Greenbelt neighborhoods.
The Foundation’s mission is to promote community projects that build upon the ideals of collaboration, cooperation, and engagement. The Foundation promotes cooperative endeavors and projects that celebrate, respect, and build upon the ideals of Greenbelt.

The Foundation is primarily interested in funding projects that can be completed in one year.
To be eligible for direct funding, your organization should be a nonprofit or cooperative eligible to receive donated funds.
If you don’t meet this requirement, you may find a qualifying organization to act as your fiscal agent. A fiscal agent is an organization that is already a 501(c)3 non-profit or not-for-profit cooperative that can receive donated funds and will act as a financial sponsor (or overseer) for your organization. The fiscal agent’s mission should be in line with your organization’s mission.
Proposals are due by midnight on April 15 and October 15 of each year.
Awards for the spring cycle as generally made in summer while those for the fall cycle are made in winter.
