USA: Texas: Central Texas region: Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties
Grants to Texas nonprofit organizations and units of government to improve the lives of women and children in eligible counties. Funding is intended to promote financial security and address needs in the areas of education, women's health, child care, housing, and unintended pregnancy prevention. Preference will be shown to applicants whose board, staff, and leadership reflect racial and gender diversity and address multiple Women’s Fund impact areas. Applicants must serve residents in the six-county Central Texas region, which includes Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties.
The Austin Community Foundation believes that maintaining the economic security of women and children is essential to closing the opportunity gap in Central Texas, and the Foundation knows that this cannot be done without addressing the racial wealth and health divide faced by women of color.
In this grant cycle, the Women’s Fund will award funding to organizations and programs that fit into one of the following strategic areas:
